Adam Bergeron

M.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia, expected May 2008 Biographical SketchAdam, a native of Franklin, Virginia, is currently pursuing his M.S. degree as research assistant in the VIVA research group. In 1997 his family moved to Oxford, Ohio where Adam attended high school and gained interest in electrical engineering while taking classes at Miami University during his junior and senior years of high school. In 2002 Adam began his undergraduate career at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. While at the Academy, Adam was Academic Officer and a platoon commander for the 16th Company, 4th Battalion, 2nd Regiment. In his senior year, Adam was awarded one of only 25 positions to attend civilian graduate school immediately following graduation in May 2006, as well as a billet to attend flight school. Adam is now medically discharged from the Navy, but still pursues his interest in becoming a private pilot. Research InterestsAdam's current research interest is image processing with application to automated tracking algorithms. Adam's ancillary (and non-research oriented) interests include renewable power generation and renewable power resource analysis. |
